Summer Vacation

We had a great summer vacation this year and did something we have't tried before, which I guess the really the whole idea of a a summer vacation. Anyway, Tracy worked her magic reasearching again and found us a great deal on a houseboat vacation on the Shuswap lake in British Columbia. We rented a 40' houseboat for a week, which was supposed to sleep 8, and it would if it was 4 adults and 4 children, in our case it worked out nicley for our family of 4. There was a bedroom that we put Caitlyn in so that we could keep her contained, and then there was a loft style bunk that Lexi though was just "awesome" so we let her sleep upthere. Tracy and I took the couches that laid out into beds and it worked great.

The first day out on the lake was a little stressfull, as it was a Saturday afternoon and when we were trying to find a spot to dock the boat, there was little room available. However we met a nice local couple on one of the beaches, and they helped us out with how to get a good spot.
We didn't end up doing a lot of traveling on the lake as we came to find out that the beach we stopped at on the first night was one of the best on the entore lake. The weather was beautiful and the kids had a great time swimming in the lake and sliding down the slide off the back of the boat.

Another successful vacation, hope you like the pics.
